DTR #8 April Meet in Ennis
Not going to make this one, got a list of things to do around the house that don't get done during the week while I'm gone. But hopefully it looks like that travel schedule will be changing and I'll be staying at home more often.
But I will be around town in case anyone has any major failure. I've taken my trip on the trailer, so I'm more than happy to help anyone else out.

I hate to back out of this one too.....but I am feeling alot of pressure right now financially and otherwise. I got a ton of stuff im backed up on here at the house. So yall have fun!
To Brian and Rowland....I hope yall get some great numbers down there!

Catch ya'll at the next GTG.

..
..
Here are the reports I heard from today's festivities.
Rowland did 12.82 at 104mph
Then came back and did a 12.764 at 105.64.
Don't have any other details, but I imagine they'll be around soon enough with more info.

I didn't send out Brian's numbers because I didn't write them down. He did run some good times and is really learning to shift that thing.
There was not a real good crowd there. There was a few pretty nice street trucks there, but only one modified, 70's vintage Chevy, drag truck that showed up with their race trailer. Some of the street trucks were running in the low 13's, but most in the 14 to 16 sec range. DHRA done another pretty poor job organizing this one. I don't think they see the potential for this part of the country. Mica tried to help them get the word out, but got no cooperation from DHRA or the track operators.

Anyone know offhand what size socket is needed for the MAP sensor on an '01?
I found links here that say it's a 1-1/16" deep, but that won't even fit over the round part of the base, much less the hex part. Need to figure out what size socket I have to go buy. Pulled the IAT today and gave it a good cleaning while trying to track down my mystery fuel leak.
EDIT: Never mind, found a thread I didn't see before. 1-1/4"...back to the store.

Yeah! Ennis event must have been a real disappointment for DHRA. I felt bad for the vendors.
Worked out great for us 'fun runners'! Not many trucks.... no waiting in line. Lots of time to test & tune.
I don't think they started the Bracket Events till after 1:00!
I don't understand that rule for Nitrous on non DHRA trucks? At inspection, once they found out we were not racing for the DHRA money, all they cared about was "do you have propane or nitrous"?? Never even looked under the hood. Next time, Brian (with your very safe setup) just say "what's nitrous"

Brian didn't do so hot... only 14.4 at 97.5... Shifting was not agreeing with me for some reason, hopefully do better in Ardmore. 60's around 2.2, tires were hopping around pretty good on that one.... No bottle either, need a blow down tube...
