I heard about this last night and wondered if you knew him. I hate to hear a good man lost his life because of some scum bags. Our thoughts and prayers are with the DPD and his family and friends.

Thanks guys. I truely appreciate the condolences. I would expect we will find out about service arrangements at work today or tomorrow.

I met Norm 18 years ago today.....and went to lunch with him. We spent 6 months together at the academy and hit the streets for field training on July 4th, 1991.....but he was sent to another patrol division. We would see each other fairly often at jail or court etc. Then he joined the gang unit about 14 years ago and we would run into each other on the street more, when he was in my division.

He was a great guy, friend, coworker.....well liked by all. Always had a smile and a funny special humor in his voice, no matter the circumstances. RIP Norman.

that is a sad story and a terrible loss. they will get what is coming to them, the universe seems to do that.

that Karma thing is a B, it has caught me and hit me hard in the passed. just like the guys in my case right now, possible accidental misfire from the 12 ga. could sure make a mess of someone.. .

Man...something is in the air....

Local shop had about 6 trucks broken into the other night........im not talking just stereos......Injectors, turbos, hoods, wheels/tires.......big stuff....

They think they came in about 12am......BUT an honest onlooker in the hotel across the way reported a suspicious van coming and going. Well cops were in the area and spotted the van and followed it onto the hwy.....they went about 2 miles and popped the red and blues.....a high speed chase ensued only to stop on the side of the HWY with the driver ditching and getting away. (Eat your heart out John Bunnell) BUT...and this is great......when he ran....he some how lost his wallet with ID........TA-DA!!!! Turns out this guy is 24 and has a rap sheet longer than my................................................ .................................................. .......................................arm........ .20+ time looser out on probation.....

Well.....getting back to the story......they impound the van......and time goes by....one of the shops employees arrive for work that morn...and was sitting in his truck somewhat asleep only to be awaken by.....YOU GUESSED IT....the same guy breaking into yet another truck....he had a jumper box to crank the truck...and (to be discovered later) the truck was all prepped to be stolen from earlier in the evening before Mr. po-po messed up his plans......Well said employee got out and chased the guy behind the building to a stolen motor cycle that he jumped on and rode away.....for a limited time....

More or less......hoods were off and missing, turbos, injectors (3rd Gen), Modules, gauges, you name it....these guys were serious and had to be on something....(Meth)

 

Sounds like a good fence with charge box and Rottie is in order.
