Mine is electrical and always reads steady. You just have to make sure that your grounds are good and the sender has to be remote mounted from the engine. I've got ~20" of rubber line between the filter housing and the sender, and it's mounted on a homemade bracket to help isolate it from vibration. I've only had one sender go bad, and it was an internal failure that caused a leak. Where's my "knock on wood" smiley.

In any case, I have a mechanical gauge that matches Boost and EGT I'm going to install in a 3 gauge pillar when I get a chance, just because I want my gauge up higher where it's more visible. Right now it's mounted down low because it doesn't match my others.

Speaking of birthdays....My truck just turned 6 years old too....on 7-31-10. Still on the original batteries and 136K miles. Almost got it broke in now.

Would have it paid off but im refinancing the truck now so I can have some extra cash in the bank........so IF (big IF) we ever sell Jana's Condo (8 months on the market now!) we will have some cash for closing..........since we are already asking less than she owes on it and then we have to pay the realtor. This blows!! We want to move on with our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a terrible market to try to sell real estate. Great if you are a buyer!

Somebody please buy this condo!!!!!! It's a great deal for somebody if this is what they are looking for.

Move it up to CO and you will have a deal Robert !

Happy late Birthday,

well me and the CTD rolled in CO this afternoon. My mileage seemed low 13.46 on first fill up and probably close to 14.5 on the second (will know when I fill up again) the trailer is not that big and not loaded but with about 3k of supplies in it. and a avg cruising speed of 65mph with smarty on 5, and I had a slight tail wind..... O well its only $$ right and since it is slowly trickling in now I guess I should not complain

Coming home this evening I noticed this nice white 2nd gen going N on 75. As I got closer I noticed it had a black bumper, 265 ish looking tires and dual exhausts and I thought,,,hmmmmm this looks a lot like Brian's truck. As I got a little closer I noticed "PPumped" on the license plate and that confirmed my suspicions. After I waved to Brian I gave him a diesel pickup truck driver's "wave" by rolling (just a little) coal his way. Good to see and talk to you Brian...(by phone).........since we haven't had any GTGs anytime recently.

Hopefully it will cool off soon and we can start planning something. Is anybody thinking about going to the NADM event in Crandall in October?

Does anybody know where I can get my H2s milled out to fit the axles? I don't want to grind on them.........I want them done professionally. Any machine shops around here that won't charge an arm and leg for that work? TIA

Is it already time for Crandall again? It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that Charlie was complaining about the cold wind from the sneaky cold front.

These days he even complains about the heat! It's tough to have a meet in Texas anymore...... Guess we need an AIR CONDITIONED SHOP to have a meet now.

Yeah, those flat front trailers are a little deceptive in how much drag they create. Andrea's uncle has one that we borrow on occasion and it's crazy how harder it pulls at speed compared to other heavier trailers I've used. If I ever get one of my own, definitely going to look for a v-nose.

I averaged 16.34 on the second tank and I am happy with that, those are the numbers I am expecting. I think I must have had a head wind or something that dropped me a little bit.

That was my plan but I had two days to look at a used one (budget) and get one purchased, maintenanced, and on the road..

Also, it looks like Chris "High Desert Ravelco" Brahs (cbrahs) could make the running for TOM this month so be sure to vote if you fancy his truck the most.

He probably would not complain quiet as much this year......unless it gets below 70*.
