Try something else................
Well guys, finally made a major change on my truck. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/photo.php?pid=4370937&id=549464579
CR you would love Peetz, CO. It is 48 degrees there right now... This is going to be a CHANGE. Excited for the change. leaving on the 28th, two weeks training in Chicago, then a week in Minnesota and then arriving in CO, and I will probably end up living in Sidney, NE. A town of 6,000 and a WALMART haha with a 16 mile commute.
10 to 1 it's not a Super Wal Mart!
You're right, you are in for a real change is life style. You'll probably turn into the most laid back person we know......that and living on the internet. They do have internet up there.....right?

Congratulations Max!
Sounds like a great job, and with a Walmart in Peetz, you can look forward to indoor plumbing.
No need to worry about the rear main, either - I bet you can add a quart faster than it can leak, so you might as well wait until the clutch is changed to fix it.
Rowland's Jeep is very nice - convinced him to try out 4LO over hill & dale around the shop... he was
like a 4-yr. old with his first Tonka Toy!
Justin, IIRC I installed those bushings in the track bar in 2008 - but didn't pay attention to them when we worked on your truck last month... conversion bracket is the "new" style from last year though - that could account for some of the offset.
Might consider moving the wheel spacer from the passenger to driver's side hub to gain 1/4"... tired coils move the axle towards the curb, too (the bumpstop-axle pad distance you measured on your truck was the shortest of all the 2nd Gens we sampled).

Congratulations on the job, Max!
RJ, nice looking jeep!
I'm pretty sure they were the non-offset version. So it's either a little more offset in the new bracket or the springs (I guess everything sags with age
). I may move the spacer for a short term fix, then figure out whether to put some offset in the bar or some lift in the front end.

Thanks!
Fun to have turning radius of a rollerskate!
Picked up one of your "big head" roofing nails in the right rear tire.... probably during our 4-LO Burnout!!
Was at 20 psi Sunday morning! No permanent damage done and good as new this am!
New top and good body paint but under the hood was neglected badly, except for engine oil, by the one owner since 1998.... which is why price was right! Coolant had rust particales floating on top and brake fluid had pinhead size pieces of carbon floating around in black molasses 'stuff'.
Got all fluids changed except for tranny fluid. Can't find drain plug and Jeep is worse than Dodge/Cummins on price of FSM - $120.00.
Bgt Haynes book, but it's useless!! AND suprisingly NO DTR type sites, that I could fine, on the Internet???
Fun toy though....and about as different to drive as can be, from a CTD.

Its much lighter now. feels like a completely different truck. It sure looks like a completely different truck anyway.
The funniest thing was the next day I was looking at all of the stuff I had loose in the bed and I was shocked that it was all still there, I'm used to things blowing off when their not tied down.
