I can hardly believe my own son is about to start High School (here in McKinney) this fall.

Major Downer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Hoyte Dodge in Sherman this AM. More fun to brouse when no sales people around.

Discovered the Mega Cab front door and leg room is no bigger than the Crew Cab. Front Doors on both are the same size!
The only 2010 that has the same big door as my 02 Ext Cab is the Single Cab.... what Dodge calls the Standard Cab.
Doors (and distance from seat to dash) is additional 10"!
That translates to more leg room and a vertical post that isn't right next to my left ear...blocking my side view.

Back to my drawing board on what to buy.

Just trying to fit my legs inside as comfortably as I can now. 10" is a big difference!
Did not realize till today that Dodge shrunk the front seat area to make room for the Mega Cab back seat!

I guess I am not tall enough to notice the difference.. in my red truck I am one click away on the seat position to sitting all the way back. Their is little to no room behind my seat.

 

Must be a 4th Gen thing?

The 4" length difference between my 2G & 3G is all in the back seat...

 

Boy, things sure are quiet here on DTR 8 this spring. I haven't been on here as much either with so much going on here at the house and work. But I do monitor this thread with my Iphone when the opportunity arises.

Jana can't do May 23rd now.......but May 30th is still open for us if yall want to try to have a meet.

TexasCTD, did you change out your headlights before or after the Ranch Hand bumper? I can't remember.
If after, how was it getting them out?

Wayne, I already had the RH bumper on the truck before the switch. I had to turn the lights a little to work them in through the space allowed but it worked. It was certainly a concern at the time.

Finals are done..... I be an edumacated colegge gredu-et heading back to NTX tomo for a wedding and such. If I am in town for the next GTG count me in.
