The kid down the street whats me to wire his truck I think around a 1995, for towing ,is the tail light wiring heavy enough without relays. Can wire it like the old days and just hook up the wires.

If it is a 95, the wires are only about 22 gauge. He will need to get a wiring kit with relays

I found out tonight that it is a 1998 Dodge Ram not a 95 do I need the relay on that year?
