Will 245/70 19.5's fit on a 2WD truck?

Can anyone confirm whether 245/70 19.5's will fit on a 2003 2WD truck? The Rickson site says that 2WD trucks 'must' use 225's... is this because of clearance problems? Or is it even correct? Wondering if anyone has an personal experience here...

Thanks, that helps. I'm sure that everything will fit in the wheel well, my concern is clearance at full steering lock on a 2WD truck. No doubt there's no problem with the 4WD but there's a huge difference in the amount of stock lift in a 4WD vs. 2WD.

I cant say for sure but 245 is really not much taller and skinnier than factory 265 70 17s. Why not go for 225s?

Only reason is that the 225's weight rating is only 3640 lbs. which isn't much more than the stock tires. The 245's are rated at 4540 lbs.

Thanks a lot 1Thom, that's just the kind of real-world info I'm looking for.
