I bet the rear drums were out of adjustment too. It's enough of a white-knuckled ride without a load when the rears aren't working.

I would have loved to have a snapshot of his face while heading through the yard towards the house.

Let me add my vote for driver error. I lost my brakes in heavy rain towing 10K and didn't have a problem. Safe? no, possible to drive it? yes...

It looks like that frame bent? That's not too re-assuring...

How would the truck get bent like that? I guess the frame is busted? Doesn't look like that bad of a crash.

I am gonna guess that in the split-second before the tires jumped that concrete porch, with the brakes locked, and everything sliding, instead of rolling, the frame buckled, and then, the tires jumped up on the porch.

Then again, I have had no accident reconstruction training.

I bet when the boob head hit that concrete porch with the front, the back wheels came off the ground about 5ft , then the frame bent, then the front tires jumped up on top.

At least it sounds good and would have been fun to watch,

Looks like that old man is trying to decide if those nice wheels and tires will fit on his own truck in the back yard.

Haveing the front end raised up 12" probably put alot more leverage on the frame when he hit, along with the wieght on the rear of the frame. For all we no bubba the driver ran over a few more things and maybe got airborn somewhere before he made his touch down landing.

With a handle like yours, you probably could have fixed him up with appropriate transportation, should he have went a little deeper into the old man's house.

I can't even see any damage to the house itself.

I bet he knocked a post out of the corner he drove through. Looks fine other than that.

He sure got lucky. I also think driver error played a large role, brakes help, but are not a cure all. You have to know what you are doing to start with.
