What kind of camper do you carry or pull with your CTD?

What kind of Camper do you carry on your truck, or pull with it? How is it equiped? What kind of camping do you do?
I just thought this would be interesting to see what all of us use our Dodges for.
I have a 1997 series 4000 Lance Squire. It is 9'6" floor length. Extended cab over, with a full queen size bed, with a real mattress. 3 way frig, A/C, range/oven, sink, hot and cold running water, toilet, shower, outside shower, battery, charger/convertor, fantastic vent, 33 gal. fresh water tank, seperate grey and blakc water holding tanks, furnace that even heats the tank area, pre wired for stereo and TV(cable/air), access to the area infront of the rear tire fenders, al. bumper w/hose storage, electric jacks and is real comfortable.
Weighs close to 2700lbs wet.
Most of our camping is dry(primitive sites), but will use campgrounds more often, now that we have this.
Truck has camper/tow package, so really do not need air bags, but plan to get them, just for added comfort.
Often will flat tow my `79 CJ7 behind it. Works great.
Bought it from Alexander RV on rt. 13 in Dover, Del. (no sales tax!) We love it, so far. Use in "mostly' when I go four wheeling. It can be used off of the truck, as per manufacturer.
See ya! 8)

5,000 pound Lance camper on a 3500, 3,500 boat. It all adds up to around 16,500 pounds when full with water, fuel, food and the rest of the stuff. Then we throw in two adults, and two big dogs. Hauls it all with ease, I love my truck.

8'9" Trav-L-mate camper,toilet- shower, a/c, 2 vents, escape hatch, extended cab over, 3-way fridge, stove, hot/cold running water, 33 gal fresh water and grey& black holding tanks... nice unit. really like it. We usually take it camping or fishing up into B.C's interior and we definately stay away from the Provincial campgrounds...wer'e fully self contained.

thats the whole idea...to just get away from it all.

A 24' TT, it's a 82 Fleetwood Resort with bunk beds in the back. bought it 3 years ago for $2,200 from a friend of a friend. It's in great shape, everything works, and most of all it's got a new AC unit I installed last summer. 8) This little camper has gotten me into the whole camping thing. I love it, and hope to soon be able to buy a 29' SunnyBrook 5ver.

Oh yea, the truck doesn't even know it's back there. ;D

DB

Until October, it was 1999 Polar 9' Cabover. Nice rig but needed more room. Now it's a Tahoe 33TB 35' Toy Hauler. I use it to haul the race car and do the family bit in.

Don Miller
97 2500 CTD, Scotty II, #8 plate, muff eliminated

getting Bombed on March 1st at the Idaho Bombing Party!
New timing to 14.5 deg
KDP fixed
3k gov springs installed

Hi Raften,What model Lance do you have? A 5000lb. Camper is a biggie. Is a model with the slide out? When we bought ours, we checked those out. WOW! are they nice. Plenty of room and made extremely well. But, I don't believe I would like to carry that kind of weight on my 2500,even with the Camper/tow package. One of their units is just under 12'. It is a dandy. But, again, too much for my truck. probably too much more many 3500's if they are not set up correctly.Hope you like your Lance as much as we do ours. Great campers. See ya! 8)

96 Northland 11.5'. When traveling, I wish it was smaller, but after I am set up, I love it. 11,500 ready to go down the road. Used for quad trips and staying at the race track. Next time will be a Superhitch instead of Titan V.
