What comes with the Prodigy (brakets and such)

I am looking to get a Prodigy brake controller and will probably buy off e-bay. My question is does the basic controller part number 90185 come with the simple little bracket and the generic wiring harness? I am getting conflicting answers. Everyone says new in the box but what is in the box. Many thanks. Hopefully I can get this on order tomorrow.

Mine came with brackets ,etc. but I had to buy the cable to connect to the connection on my truck , I think it cost me another $15 bucks or so.

Mine came with 2 brackets, one was a standard bracket, and the other was a sleeve type bracket, which I use. It does come with a small harness, but I opted for the large harness-I think it was $15 and it has more than enough wire to do the whole job with.

It comes with the two brackets mentioned above, a generic harness, a DVD and a couple instruction pamphlets. I bought mine new from RVWholesalers.com for $99 shipped.

There was a thread regarding the different versions on Titantalk.com a while back. It turns out there is nothing different between the last two versions, and this came directly from Tekonsha. There was a reason the numbers changed but it had nothing to do with the operation of the units.

If you buy the Dodge Harness then you can just plug into the factory harness wiyhout any splices. I have an extra one but shipping would cost close to what the harness cost. I think I gave $10 for it.

If you have the tow package from the factory with the wire harness that comes in a plastic bag on a 2006, do you still need to buy the extra $15 harness?

No. You can splice the generic pigtail supplied with the Prodigy with the pigtail provided by Dodge. I did my Titan this way. With my Megacab I took the easy way out and bought the pre-fabbed harness.
