trouble shoot brake controller
trouble shoot brake controller
I bought a "redline" brake controller about 10 years ago, and it worked great. The green light is always on, and the light goes to orange/red depending on how much you crank her up. Well It now does not change light color, nor do I have any trailer brakes.
The only way to get trailer brakes is through manually sliding the trailer brakes on. I have 12v, I also have response from my brake switch, good ground and power.
So Im guessing since it wont react to the brake switch, its junk??lol As I mentioned, manually they work, and if I work the brake switch I have power all the way into the controller.
Thanks

I have an old Tekonsha that does the same thing. Mine has the "level" **** on the left side of the controller and the "gain" on the right. I adjust the level **** and the problem always goes away. Don't really know how it gets messed up but occassionally it does. HTH
well I will give that a shot and see. I see that they still do make the same controller, but under about 3 different names, problem is it says 1 or 2 axles, since I will have 3, I think ill be upgrading to a proportional setup like a prodigy
