Slightly off topic but expected from me and somewhat related...
My biggest was not checking the 5th wheel hitch jaws myself when backing up to hook up the 5er. I asked my ex if the jaws were open and she assured me they were. To add to this the landing gear was up on blocks so when I tapped the pin, the trailer slid off the blocks [still had wheel lock in between the drivers side tires on the 5er] and slammed down onto the bed rails. . It had rained real hard and once it let up we wanted to get hooked up and go...the grass was wet and muddy and the trailer slid. Wow were the bed rails crushed. I lucked out in the next town...as I was rolling in I saw a utility company and there where all sorts of truck beds...all white, just like mine. Foreman said I could choose the bed I wanted and make a donation to their bbq fund for that wknd. I bought all the steaks/pop/beer/salads and camped there for two days while I swapped out the bed/rails/tank etc.

I did tag the roof of my old 90 Ram with the front of a car on the 3 car wedge one time...had to go into a deep dip and up on an angle to go around a wreck one time. Creased the roof but most of that popped out.
