RV refrigerator problem

I need some help. I've had my frig. stored since Jan. of this yr. The freezer is working, but the frig. part is not. Any body ever experience this, or have any ideas?

Thanks, Tony

Good luck with it.

Edit - Opps - just realized there was a sticky on it.. sorry about that..

If the freezer is getting cold then the refridge should work. Have you looked at the fins in the fridge? There is a thermo wire that attaches to the fins, at least on Norcolds.

Another thing to try is to take a small fan and pull the side cover off your RV and have it blow up the flue. Make sure there are no obstructions in there like dirt bauber nests.

Is it cooling on electric or gas?

As Hubmonkey said, if the freezer is working then the fridge is also working. Be patient and it is best to add a few bottles of frozen water to accelerate the cool down. Use a thermometer and not a guess that the air temperature is not getting cold. A normally operating RV fridge works between 35 and 38 degrees.

There won't be any hum as there is no compressor. The re-call is a safety issue if a line cracks, to avoid a fire. ReCall has been expanded to newer frigs. Doesn't sound like you have this problem yet.
