RV/Dish TV Full time

We have Dish TV now. When we take the fiver out, we have a portable fold up dish anf get 119, usually pretty quickly. We will be going full time in a few months.
I have had a little experience trying to line up a full size dish to get 119 & 110. I was never fully successful, even with a meter.
Does anyone out there carry a full size dish & hook it up each time?
I have another smaller RV sat dish, 2 total. It would be easy to line 1 with 119 and another to 110 and perhaps use a splitter to connect them, not sure if that would work.
I all my RV travels, I have met only 1 RVer that set up a full size Dish Dish with success on a regular basis.
I have seen these $700 auto dishes, but I think they only get 1 sat at a time. These look too easy to steal.
Let's hear from you RV Dish Sat gurus!!

When traveling, it is not always easy to get 110 119. Depending on where you are at, you may want to consider using the eastern arc @ 72.7 and 77. There is also some programing @61.5

Why? is it easier to aim?? I don't see much difference between dish & Direct, except HD isn't quite as good on Direct.

Is the programming on 72.7 and 77 the same as 110 & 119? What is on 61.5?
I think Direct has most of it's channels on 1 sat. Once upon a time, Dish did not care if you had an extra receiver in your RV. Now, both Dish & Direct can be **** about needing another account(more $). I sometomes have to re-activate a receiver if it has not ben on over 30-45 days. They usually don't care. I think they are pretty similar, but Dish says they cost less. Not sure you could buy a 6 pack a month with the savings.

There should be no difference between the eastern arc & 110 119. It just gives you a second chance in case you can't see the other sats. You can get some of the channels offered on each service with just 1 lnb, but to get all the programming available, you really need 110 119 129 for dish western feed, 72 77 65.5 for eastern arc. Same thing applies to direct. Direct uses 72.5 76 99 and 101.

I had the BUD (big ugly dish ) back in the days before dish & direct came on the scene and learned a lot about pointing. When I moved to the smaller dishes for FTA (free to air) I spent days looking for a sat, and even figured I had an equipment problem before I was able to aim it correctly as they are low powered and you have to be right on before you get any signal. Dish and direct are easy, because they have so much power that if you get close you can get a signal and then peak it. If you lookup (dish angle elevation) on google you can get your info for elevation and azmuth. So first set the elevation angle to your location, and then start bey pointing south. Here in Ohio my longitude is 81 degrees. So when I look directly south 81 is what I get. If I need 110, then I need to look approx 29 degrees west of south. So whatever your longitude is, you can calculate a rough approximation of where you need to look. I hope this helps. I always carry a compass with me when traveling so I can figure out where to look. ps you also need to adjust difference between true south and magnetic south.
