RV Bug Stain removal
RV Bug Stain removal
One of the biggest pains with 5ers & other trailers is dealing with the bugs.
I spray the end cap with a mixture of baby oil & water, which keeps them from becoming concrete, until I can wash them off.
My problem is that some of them stain the fiberglass. I am going to try Best black steak remover as well as their bug remover products, see how they do.
Any other recommendations?

Lots of folks on rv.net recommend using Bounce drier sheets.
Some also recommend using a little Simple Green along with the Bounce sheets for the 'really tough bugs'(baked on in AZ sun for 6 mo or more..lol)

Hey blue, what do you mean Bounce dryer sheets? Do you mean just use those to wipe the bugs off? Most of the bugs on my 5'er I think I'd need a blow torch to get 'em off. Just curious about the dryer sheet thing.

I can tell you that the dryer sheets work great,I know it sounds crazy!Wet the surface to be cleaned and rub with a WET dryer sheet and the bugs and stains come off.You may go through 2 or 3 dryer sheets but it is easy.

I used Boat Haul Cleaner made by Brite. Works great on removing black streaks and mold, dirt and grim. About $38.00 a gallon
Makes sense to me. Fabric softner is basically soap
