Thanks J I have the thick rubber mat so i'll proubly cut it too fit . I got started late this afternoon got my inner fender wells out an spare tire out of the way. Got the rear rail measured an marked . Then I realized I don't have a 17/32 bit a 5/8 might work but i'm gonna see if I can get one tommorrow .

Well thanks again guys its in no real proublems except drilling the frame slowed me down . It amazes me that it'll be capable of handleing a 20K G/N just holding on with those four brackets an the trk bed . But you fellows have convinced me its capable of it . Where do you hook your safety chains when pulling a G/N ?

Either the goose neck adapter has rings on it, or you pin the end of the chains into 2 slots in the front rail with hitch pins like you use to put the hitches in.

If you have decent bolt patterns or weld patterns over the rear wheels, the first thing that'll actually fail is the frame right behind the cab.

We see that here in the rust belt once in awhile. Usually takes some real serious abuse or unintended off-roading at speed in addition to years of rust to git er bent.

Thanks J one of the reason I bought this ole girl is it appears shes's never seen salt. I may get my Buddy that welds to do that one of these days after everything has a chance to settle in .
