Pulling a 16000lb goose, is this thing gonna kill me ?

I have an 07 Dodge 3500, 5.9 cummins, 4spd auto, SRW. Im intending on towing a 30ft gooseneck, loaded with a 1991 cummins single cab/chassis dually and a 4000lb 1968 ford XL 2dr hardtop.

Does anyone figure Im gonna get killed driving across the prairie? Im driving from Calgary AB to Toronto ON.

Whats yer thoughts opinions??

Im using a 16,000 Hi-Jacker 5th wheel hitch and the brake controller will be bought as soon as someone suggests a good one.

Thanks

Pete

You'll be fine. I'd recommend a Prodigy brake controller.

Check out this thread and I think you will feel real comfortable pulling that "little" load...

I would spend just a little more than a Prodigy and get a MaxBrake but the Prodigy at the least.

P3 controller (More functions than prodigy) and don't forget to look in the mirror as you will forget the trailer is back there at times..

Be sure to get a factory harness for the truck to controller.. save splicing wires

Spend a little more and get the maxbrake. I've used the others and when I'm done with this truck its coming with me...
