Production date tire codes

Hi,
My 5er has Dean tire and rubber Trailcat LT LT235/85R16 load range E tires on it, the 5er is a 2001 model but I wonder if the tires are older than that as I've heard of manufacturers buying large quanities and then they sit around for quite a while untill they get used (these tires appear to be in excellent condition tread wise and no sign of weather checking) These are a economy tire and I will probably take a couple of runs with them this year yet, just a little concerned about my trailer rubber. The codes I found on the tires are as follows
008675 E4 (E4circled)
DOT UPOR
DJA1101
B 11B
19451 1

Can anybody decifer this? TIA

Do a google search for tire codes and you'll find all kinds of info. If I read that right your tires were made in the 11th week of 2001. I had a tire guy tell me once that there was no warrantee on tires after 3 years because of the higher rate of failure and that no tire should be used after 7 years.

Thanks DJ, I searched the Dean tire site and found nothing, did Google and found a lot but not what I was looking for, I'll be out and about today so I think I'll stop by a dealer and find out, I'll let you know if your right I've always heard from the RV crowd that 6 years was time to replace, with a off brand tire I'm not sure I want to push it that far though

Exactly correct sir, although all things considered I think I'll be replacing these next spring with some RIB's

DOT UPOR means made in Findlay OH by Cooper Tire

DJA1101 is in deed 11th week of 2001 and DJA is an optional code used by Tire Development/marketing - pretty much means nothing to the consumer.

E4 circled means meets Economic Commision of Europe standards - in English - you can sell this tire in Europe (Netherlands)- technically called ECE. E2 would mean France. The number after the ECE mark are the numbers assigned by the body that governs the ECE. Each size will have a different number.

The other numbers are for plant identification, shipping, storage, tracking, etc...again, means nothing to the consumer.
