that sure sounds like a lot of hassle compared to just getting a trailer!

i cant remember the manufacturer- but, theres a company that makes another type of aluminum over the bed quad haulin system. their system is designed in a way that you use their supplied ramps and actually drive up on from the side. and the rack itself is actually in an arch shape sideways over the bed. from my understanding, with an 8' bed you can haul two quads atop the bed sideways. and they say its very easy to drive on and off. me personally, i would park as close to a hillside as possible to decrese my boarding/departing angle.

I made a rack to haul both my ATV's and tow the TT. Works like a champ. Loads from the side, so I don't ever have to back off, and I can load/unload without unhooking the trailer. Finally, it pivots behind the toolbox, so if for some reason I need to get into my box, I can unload one ATV and get into the box. If you're interested, see pics here:

thats the thing, if you load them on sideways, then you have to unload them to get to your tool box, id rather load them on facing forward, then you dont have to unload to get to your tool box. JMO

I aint got a tool box, but I keep our polaris about 2 feet from my back glass(I use a set of home built spacers). It sits on the tail gate. I just strap it in and go. No problems yet.
