Awesome rack. How does it ride with two machines loaded up that high?
Thats the EXACT same thing I'm looking to do. Haul the ATV's and drag the TT for our weekend get-a-ways.

As posted, the LGD holds the atv down evenly, no front straps required. Get on their site and check the video. They offroad the heck out of this truck with the atv in the back and it barely moves...

Ordered my LGD on Friday. They have a 30" adjustable prototype that is not on the web site yet, but you can order it if you call their shop. That is the one I ordered, should be here next week. Can't wait to get it and test it out. I'll post pics if anybody wants to see it.

It rides great. Almost hits the overloads for the camper special. The only thing is you almost want some towing mirrors to see around them but with the regular mirrors it aint too bad

hotdram - why do you want 30", just curious? 26" is sufficient for my prairie 650 4x4 on 27" outlaws...

That is the unit that the owner/designer of the LGD suggested in his email to me. The price is the same as the other units.
Their website states that the 28" unit is for ATV's with IRS (don't know if your Kawi has IRS or not) and specifically references the Polaris 500. I have a 400, but I believe it is the same frame as the 500.

my quad does not have irs, but that reference just means taller utility atvs. My quad is bigger than a sportsman 500, especially with those tires, but i'm sure either unit will work great.

snap a pic of loading the atvs on the rack sometime. a ramp shot from the side then the quad on its way up. would be cool pics to see.

sellisrulzz: If you're going to build a similar rack, you might see if you can load them from the side. Then you don't have to unhook your trailer to unload the quads. I've seen one like that somewhere on the web, it looks pretty scarey to load though.

Lots of the guys up here just use their sled decks to haul the quads and just back your truck up to almost max with some one watching the hitch. You will find there is no need to unhook to unload the machines if the ramp is the length of the deck. Most have more problem loading as they want to flip backwards due to steepness. Just hook the winch line from quad on headache rack and pull yourself up. I took the box off my truck and built a 6x8' deck and can accommadate 2 quads sideways without using my tow mirrors. You may find that a longer hitch insert is needed to allow for the sled deck to clear the TT on turns. PK
