Yeah, I bought a used 24' PJ gooseneck with pickup tires and rims on it and the first time I pulled it loaded it rubbed a tire hot which then blew out. When that happened it rubbed the other tire on the same axle and it got hot but didn't blow before I got shut down. I did a lot of searching and measuring in the yards but finally bought new wheels with new tires (ST235-80R16, load range 'E') from the PJ dealer. These wheels are centered and are what came on the trailer in the first place. Every thing's been good since then but I sure learned a pretty spendy lesson.

If they fit and the load rating is correct then run them. If they don't fit or the load rating isn't high enough then don't. Or buy new wheels that will fit the trailer and your take off tires and run them.
