New fifth wheel

I'm getting ready to make an offer on a Cruiser by crossroads. Question is, what would be a fair price to offer them for the trailer. The sticker says 25,995. I cant seem to find anyplace that lists invoice prices like they do for our trucks. I want to know what I have to work with as far as price is concerned.

Looking at the brand name o fhte 5VR you are looking at, did you know that you are going to be pushing if not exceeding the GVRW & GCRW of the truck. You may want to check into to weight carring capability of your truck on the DC web page.

Your kidding right. I truly hope my 1 Ton Cummins powered Dodge can tow a trailer that only has a dry weight of 7016lbs and pin weight of 1450. I could almost do that with my old Dakota. Even if I load 2000 lbs of stuff in the trailer, I would still be fine. My GVW is 9900 and GCVW should be 21000.

If you are talking about a TT then you should have no problem. I was thinking with that setup you were looking at a real trailler to pull their 5VR's
Sorry I didn't mean to get you worried

Actually I am looking at the 5er, and just ordered it. I still think I will be fine with the weight of this trailer. It only weighs 7000 lbs empty. I'll let you know for sure when I get her weighed. Thanks for the heads up on the weight though.

Johnny,
You're fine - - if you are in trouble at 7000# empty, I am in a mess at 14,000# empty.
