Need Towing Mirrors

Anyone know where I can trade my "normal" mirrors for a set of towing mirrors? There must be someone with towing mirrors who doesn't want them.

You can look on E-bay

Or you can just pay the bigger bucks from DC

SuperGewl,
Those are some SWEET mirrors. I looked at some up close last weekend on a 2004.5. I was amazed. They are really nice because there is no taking off or putting on, you just flip them 90 degrees and ride.
I do wish they could be power mirrors, as even though I do not adjust my mirrors often, it's a convenience I'd rather not disable.

Heck, I traded in my old Silverado just for these mirrors.

DC is way ahead of the others when it comes to tow mirrors.

The ebay deals look good, the guy that tinted my windows scratched up my oem mirrors and paid three bills for one to replace it.

Stamey, what do you mean about the power? Mine adjust with just the push of a button.

According to the auction, these are "manual" mirrors. For that price, I expect POWER mirrors to replace my own power mirrors. I suspect gouging with this price.

You only loose the extra features on the 02 Heavy duties and earlier.
On the 02 1500 & all 03 and ups you will NOT loose anything with the new TT mirrors.

Plug & play. Keeps all power functions. I swapped mine, purchased off Ebay. Sold my factory mirrors on ebay to offset the cost. Most happy. Look great too.

I just purchased a '99 with stock power, heated mirrors. As we will be using the truck primarily to town our TT I would like to get the new style mirrors that fold out for towing. I'm not worried about losing the "heated" feature of the mirrors but I would like to retain the "power" feature. Will a set of the new power fold-out mirrors mount on my truck without any drilling or anything like that? And if so, is there anyway I can keep the power feature?

That second eBay link was for powered ones. Look again. I'd love a pair of these, but I can't spend that kind of money on mirrors.

How hard was it to make the swap? I guess you have to take the door panels off??

No, just loosen the door panels up a little at the top...
There's a foam insert under the door panel right behind the mirror that was in the way, so i pulled it out. Deep well socket, 10 MM I think and phillips s/d was all i needed. Took less than 30 minutes for both sides. Power and defrost work great.
Sell your old ones to recoup some of the cost.
Sold mine for $60 on ebay.

That's interesting. I had to replace a mirror on a 1995 Chevy S-10 one time and that thing was a PAIN to replace. The entire door panel had to come of.

I'd love to get some of the tow mirrors but the cheapest I've seen them going for on eBay is $350 for the powered ones. I don't know what they cost from Dodge. Either way, that's too much.
