need Prodigy wiring codes
Well I may have fried my brake controller.
Does anyone have the wiring color codes and diagram for a prodigy? Was installing to the new truck and may have hooked a wire wrong , I’m not sure yet .I have the factory harness for the truck with the codes for it ,but not the controller.

Just so everyone is aware, it IS possible to fry a Prodigy, and a few others as well, by backfeeding the blue wire with 12 volt power. One way this could happen is if you were to pull out the plug switch for the brake system that's on most trailers with electric brakes while the regular trailer cable plug is plugged into the truck.
I've had a few customers do this, unfortunately.

I fried one because of this. The harness tha comes with the truck IS NOT color coded. The one you buy from brake dealers IS color coded. We've seen people hook up stock ones like after market, and after market like stock. Now this is back when only a few companys made brake units, so not many had the direct hook up units
you find out the hard way that they are not color coded, one of my trucks had a fried brake contoler, hooked up the wires accoring to color, big puff of smoke from contoler, got test light and found out the colors were not right.
