need help with decision on trailer and weights
hey guys,
need some help here. wanting to upgrade to a fifth wheel and cant decide if i will be over weight. i am looking at 2 different models the heartland sundance 2997bhs with a hitch weight of 1675 and gvwr of 11870 and also the heartland big country 3490bhs w/ hitch weight of 2121 and gvwr of 14000. i have a 07 2500 mega cab with 5.9 and g56 4x4 with 295/70/17 terra grapplers tires are load range d rated at 3415 lbs @ 65 psi . any opinions or input would help out alot. thank you in advance for your help

I don't see how you would have a problem with either one but I would imagine the larger one would be more of a handful. A dually would be more suitable for a large unit like that, although your rig would make it too.

The pin weight is a little high on the second one from my research. You may have to add air bags. Also, the dually dudes have no issues but I think it can happen you probably however should check with the dealer and the RV seller.
Also I have the usuall disclaimers that hauling overweight may cause injury or death as well as indegistion.
