Need help with 7 pin wiring.

I need to have a seven pin connector in the bed of the truck to connect my gooseneck trailer to.

I've taken the factory 7 pin connection apart to determine which color wire goes to what function but it's impossible to tell from the connectors on the back side.

I searched the forums and found some information but isn't applicable to my truck. Mine is a 2006.

Can anyone help with the wire colors?

Thanks for the link. Already tried that one. They must have changed things for 2006.

Just turn things on one at a time and test the wires in the back of your current plug to see what colors are what.

Keep in mind depending on how you look at it, it might be opposite or backwards from looking at the rear vs looking at the front. Thats why they have the car end and trailer end diagrams. This is pretty standard and I don't think they would change the functions in terms of location, but they might very well change the wiring colors.
