saw a post that mentuioned an ez edge(or somethin sim) and somethin else statin that for about $300 the original poster could get the power he wanted.

my babe and i pull a 5k 5ver. we have 95 ctd auto club cab long bed thats stock xcept for the k&n and syn gear oil in the 3.54 rear and 210k+ miles. it does just fine once we get rollin and gets about 14mpg @70. but looking at the weight of bigger 5vers makes me wonder if we would need a newer truck. our gcvwr is 16k. i figure truck weighs about 7k loaded leavin me about 9 to pull. would i even be able to drive in od w'this kinda load? i have seen here that gettin more power tends to make the stock tranny shortlived. any mods for a grand or so to get a little more oomph to the engine and tranny. anyone in houston who could help for a fee if it's over my head?

You need to look in the 12 Valve section of this site as your 95 does not have the electronics for the Edge EZ.
I think you might find it easy to put a fuel plate in your truck and get what you are looking for.

This will probably get moved to that section...hope that helps.
