I suppose, but I wouldn't think there would be THAT much wear. Just the same, I'm leaving mine hooked up at least for a while so it can all get broken in good.

I think it was Haulin in Dixie that said he'd gone a hundred something odd thousand miles without ever disconnecting his and never had a problem.

I've never disconnected mine either. Its been a while since I read the instructions, but it wasn't clear to me if Jordan said to disconnect only the cable, or the box too. I wasn't sure what to do with the loose cable/control module, and sure didn't want to be bothered by taking the whole box off.

Well he ask that you un hook it so that it will not wear out, I had two wear out. What happens is the controller sticks in theon postion just ever so slightly light but it stays on just the same. Thus leaving the controller braking just a little, you have to blip the manual button to get it to release. But Jordan took care of these in record fashion. They are a great company to deal with. You will love the controller it works just as they say it will...............

I think the couple people that have had a problem with sticking either mounted them in a position where the cable had an "S" in it or admitted they tightened the wire sheath mount down a little too tight. It just takes about 5 seconds to pull that springy thingy out the side and put it back in the front.

Now, just go pull something and enjoy life.

Seems to me that would be a problem caused by the tension in the cable not being correct instead of wear. The cable is teflon coated to reduce friction, so it seems to me that the only thing that could wear out in these things is the springs.
