If your ordering experience turns out like mine, be very patient. I ordered on 9/25. Truck STILL isn't here. According to the DC Insight data base, it left Tampa by truck on Monday morning, 12/8 at 0600. It's 400 miles from Tampa to the dealer in Key West. An easy one day haul. Truck still isn't there. Where is it? No one seems to know. This is after the truck coming out of the plant, KZ status, on 10/17 and sitting on a railcar in Vera Cruz until 11/25 when it finally got loaded on a freighter for Tampa. >

Yes , it is the 50 state legal 325/600 cummins . They started taking orders 12/2 , I got mine started 12/3. And I did get the $2500 rebate and $300 Bus. rebate. EGR / No EGR whatever they do I don't care. BTW this is the only cummins you can get now anywhere.

 

Does anyone know the site where you can watch the status of your ordered truck?

 

It's called the Insight Network Logistics data base. Your dealer can show it to you. You need the six digit dealer code and the VON or last eight of the VIN.

 

Okay I ordered a H.O. about a week ago as well. But will we get the H.O. or the new Cummins 600????? I think it may be the H.O. which will shortly be low output compared to the new 600 cummins! So I am a little confused as to what is going on. Maybe I should call the dealer and verify which engine I will be getting...............

 

I believe they ceased production on the old motor 11/21/03.
So you should get the 600.

 

Did they cease production on the H.O. or just stop making so they could put pollution control on them??? Some of the info I have read indicates that the H.O. and 600 will be made. I would prefer to have the 600 though. So I hope you are right! :

 

The 600 is the "latest and greatest" for HP and also make the EPA happy. It is there only motor now. If you ordered after 11/21/03 it will be the 600. From all that I have read.

Well that sounds great!!! I ordered mine the first week of Dec. so hopefully I will get the Big 600!!!!! ;D The current H.O. has a ton of power so I can only imagine what the 600 will be like! Plus I like the fact that it is 50 state legal. That is as long as the improved emissions do not effect reliablity.
