Well your worst nightmare is some Barney Fife puts you on a scale and if you're overweight you'd have to leave the camper until you can bring a truck propery equipted. From what I read this is done more in the south than anywhere else.

 

Mississippi does this, Alabama fines you, Tennessee fines you.
