Info on new 5er vs. old one

I had 2004 32' Sprinter since March this year. Total gross is 18,560#. Loaded for camping my truck grossed 10,100# and 5er was 8560# on axles. That is pin weight of 2260#.

My new 2006 36' Cedar Creek loaded and weighed today total gross is 20,780#. Total gross of my truck with Cedar Creek is 10,780#. That is pin weight of 2340#.

I can feel the extra ton in the weight of the 5er but it tows well.

Are you legal on the wieght issue?? Just curious. That trailer looks like it needs a 1ton dually in front of it. Looks like a nice trailer. And a nice truck though.. Goodluck,,Rick

weight issue

It is my understanding that RVs are exempt from weigh stations. I am borderline on overall weight. I am borderline on rear tires. I am considering 19.5s

Looks like the truck is squatting a bit in the rear. Is that SOP for the 3rd generations, or are you over your GVWR and/or rear GAWR? My rig (dually) sits dead level with a heavier 5th wheel.

Just wondering.....

overloaded

I have a 2" lift kit on the front end. Truck sits level when not loaded.

I noticed that you have 2 different license plates?

TUFF250 on the front and CUMMINZ on the rear.

I have CUMMINS for a plate in my VT state.

I just couldn't believe nobody had that plate when I asked for it. It has gone from my 1st gen over to my 3rd gen now and hopefully will keep it forever, as long as I own a Cummins diesel that is. Like I said, forever.

Plates

NC does not have front plates. My TUFF250 goes back to the days when I owned several diesel F-250s. It was my personized tag. I put it on my Dodge for the memory.
