I bought a camper......What do I need to know

After looking around for about a month, I found a 24 Jayco with AC, fridge, heater, oven, its got all the goodies, so I bit the bullet and bought it. I have done a lot of (tent) camping since I was very young just never had any experience with owning or maintaining a tow behind.

Please help me with some "pointers" to get me started in the right direction.

watch the sides of the camper when turning so you dont damage it or the one that you turn next to.

Are you looking for camping pointers? WHat to buy pointers? Maintanenece Pointers? Here is some good info I have learned....

Grey and Black Water... There is a method out there called the "Geo-Method" for grey and black water tank cleaning. Basically it is Calgon Water Softner from your local supermarket. Mix 1 cup of Calgon Water softner with 2 gallons of hot water. Pour it down the toilet. Do the same down the shower. Drive around and let it splash around. This will coat the tank and keep things from sticking to it. I do this every few times I camp. Buy Two sections of sewer hose.

Water hoses and such. Buy two 25' hoses and one 10-15' hose. Why not buy a 75' hose you ask? Well you don't always need that much hose and it is easier to roll up 25 feet of hose than 75 fet of hose when you only need 25 feet. Pressure regulator is a must! use it BEFORE your hoses. Water filters. We don't drink campground water, just bottle water for us. There is a need to use filter just to keep the system clean, alot of campgrounds use well water and it has sand or grit in it. They can be had for as little as 17 bucks at walmart. They are good for 1 season.

Develop a checklist for setting up and breaking camp. Makes life easier. Nothing worse than driving down the road and you forgot to raise a stabalizer jack.'

I have tons of these but the best resource is rv.net (http://www.rv.net/forum/Index.cfm) .
