How many 3/4 car haulers have gotten overlength tickets?
If you can't use a bed then you may as well just buy a cab and chassis which you can get extra long. Then you can add a legal sleeper.
I'm a truck driver and we have "deck plates" on our frames betweend the tractor and trailer that we can stand on while hoking up lines so I would assume it would be okay to do the same on the pickups hen you remove the bed. That would cover the fuel tanks and just make it look nicer.
Oh b the way I'm new here. Looking to buy a dodge dually and a 3 or 4 car wedge. I already have a 42 foot enclosed car trailer with 35foot of deck that I can haul with.
If anyone can point me in directions for finding auto loads then please pm me

I hauled out of FL for years and never had any problems. Since 2001, everything changed and now that state, OH, VA and TX got greedy.
In the old days we had the ICC and it's rules stood no matter what state you were in. Fed law trumped everybody. There was a uniform order to things. You knew exactly where and what you could do. No more, now we have 'beaner' trucks hauling produce that break the scales and I don't see them getting red-tagged or $1k fines.

I have a 50FT take 3 trailer which puts my length at 66.3 feet. Just get a permit which lasts a year for a couple hundred bucks. A YEAR. Not bad for the extra room for that 4th car/truck. Well, a car. U need a 53 for the trucks. I do not have the overhang ramps.
Oh yeah, for finding loads, goto WWW.CENTRALDISPATCH.COM. USHIP JUST SUCKS and is for people working to make a crummy 500-1000 bucks a week if there lucky.

I did
Harrisonville, Mo scales, 3/4 car wedge, front and rear flips extensions. Rears where in, measured from back of trailer to end of overhang of vehicle on front flips, 57'. Said my trailer is a semi trailer and can't be over 53'. Never even checked total length, Freightliner sportchassis, crewcab, I'm 74' Plead not guilty, have court date next month, also got a ticket for window tint. Truck had a New York DOT inspection, and Missouri Safety inspection both 3 month prior. Go figure
