We Love our

We have a 2000 and it is very quite. The only two things it will not run is our 15K air and our 1400watt Microwave. If you have a 900 watt or less Microwave no problems. Rum appox 8 hrs on 1 tanks for gas.

I know Honda's are very good generators. I just can't see spending 2000 dollars for something I will use every now and then. I just ordered a Champion 4000w generator for 299.00 from partsamerica.com. It's not going to be as quiet as a inverter type generator but I am going to be boonedocking most of the time anyway. I wanted a Honda but I decieded to give this one a shot. STICKER SHOCK!!!!!!!

I have used a honda 3000 for 2 years now and almost all the people we camp with have switched over to them. We only random camp so we use the honda all the time. We have plugged in up to four units at night to run the heaters and have no problems at all. The honda is more money but for the reliablity and how quiet they are the price was worth while for me.

If money were no object I'd but two Yamaha 2400's. Light enough to lug around but can be run in parallel and have quit a bit more power than the Honda 2000s.

Ok have to add my two cents. I have run a 3000is for a year and a half. It runs a 14,000 btu air conditioner/heat pump in my truck (Freightliner) It runs almost every day, all night long and sometimes for a couple of day on end. As was said, it will not run both the air and my 1700 watt microwave but it will run the air and the lighter stuff, coffee maker, toaster, tv and dvd, also the computer. Now this is in addition to the inverter that runs a three stage charger which is on all the time.

It runs 3 1/2 gallons of gas and will go up to 18 hours with a few hours of tv eating and either air or heat all night. I run a freezer and a bunch of stuff in here and I love it. Especially between the inverter and the generator, it costs me about five dollars a night to do this.

I recently put the Sun remote control on itr and it makes my day. It also saves gas and generator life. If I don't need heat, I just push the botton and it goes off. In the morning when the sun hits, push the botton and the air comes on.

In a year and a half of constant use, I recently changed the spark plug. I change oil when the oil gets dirty and don't try to figure hours. When it wears out I will buy another one just like it.

adding this, I run the same 15w40 oil that is in my n14 diesel.

I have a honda eu3000 and I love it. I have many hours on it and have had no probs at all. Even after sitting for a few months it fired up on the first turn of the key. It runs the ac on my Airstream great, but not the ac and the micro at the same time. it is very quiet and I cannot hear it running inside my camper. you should buy it from wise sales on the inet. best price , no tax and great service. get the cover for it, the camo one looks great and keeps it looking brand new.

Yes do take care of it, book says not to let it get wet either. All that said, mine has been behind the cab going on two years, looks like I used it for a boat anchor, don't think I did yet, but looks like it. It has never been covered but runs like a new one. Do consider the Sun remote, love it. Wake up in the morning and the sun is hitting my black cab, roll over push the button, the air comes on.... lazy mans dream.
