Couple of questions if I may. Can you parallel the eu3000s just like the eu2000s....to give you 6000 watts?

And how long can you run the 2000s or 3000s on one tank of fuel under constant duty? Can they run 8 hrs or more?

the 3000 can be parralled but you can buy a 6500 for less and it will run about 10 to 12 hrs on 1/4 load the 2000 is considerable less with a smaller tank mabe a gallon all depends on what your plans are power wise

I have a pair of 2000s - love 'em. I get about 4-6 hours at 1/2 load. I did pick up a 6 gal. tank that has two caps that will let them run for about 12 hours or more (haven't let them run that long to finds out).

This may be cheaper than paralleling 2 honda 3000s.... It is a little louder but that figure is before its installed. If installed in a generator box on a TT, it should be significantly quieter than its speced 68db. Being diesel you also typically get a lower tone of sound than out of a gas unit.

Something to look into.

While the 6500 is cheaper and provides more power it's much louder and wouldn't be allowed in many campgrounds. If noise limitations are an issue (like at state parks) stick to the RV type generators.

Another option would be the Robin Subaru generators. The RG3200iS is pretty much the same as the Honda 3000, power and noise-wise.

I have the RG4300iS. It's a little louder than the Honda 3000, but still quiet enough for all parks. I can run a 15,000 BTU A/C, TV, and a microwave at the same time.

It's about 33 pounds heavier, though, so it can be a chore to load and unload. A good set of ramps helps a lot.

The Honda i3000 will throttle down at low load and get even quieter and save gas too. We love ours. That said, I would like to have 2 2000's. They can be hooked up in parallel to supply 4,000 watts total. If you have trouble, you can still have 2,000 watts from the partner.

I have a honda eb5000 now and it does the chore fine. But it is loud and heavy. It would probably be more suitable for a construction site rather than camping.

What I want is portability, quietness, and enough power to run my travel trailer a/c, tv, micro........and do so all night if I wanted without having to refuel (at least 8 hrs). I don't want much do I?

Another vote for the 3000, the QUIETEST generator i've ever heard. We run our Wildcat 31QBH with this and no issues at all.

I have the Honda 1000. I've had it for maybe 6 or 7 years. It still run like a top. I only change the oil in it once a year. I think this was the only one on the market at the time I purchased it or I would have gotten the 2000. We never use the AC so the 1000 is plenty to keep the battery's charged up. Won't run the microwave ether, It does run a 19 inch TV and lights at night. It's like the Bride always says to me, we go camping to be outside, if I want to seat inside in air condition room and watch TV, I'd stay home.

I also have 2 EU200i's that I parallel together when needed to run our travel trailer. Great little generators. My buddy has 2 EU3000i's. Either setup is nice but I prefer the 2-EU2000i setup because they're smaller, much lighter and easier to move around, and small enough to sit under the tonneau cover in my truck. The EU3000i's will stick up above the bed rails. Most of the time I only need to use 1 of my EU2000i's. The only time I need to parallel them both is in the summertime when running the A/C. With both running, I did a load test and I can run every appliance in the trailer including A/C, TV, Microwave oven, etc. with no problems. I highly recommend the Honda EU-series generators, whichever size you decide to go with.

Texas, on my eu3000 I was getting around 9 hrs of run time on a full tank of fuel, with the eco-throttle turned off. Honda rates them at like 20 hrs on light load and with the eco-throttle on and a light load I could see it happen. Mine also ran quite a bit longer on the third and fourth tanks of fuel, must of got broken in.

I tow a 5th wheel 32'. I have a Yamaha gen 3000 and is very quiet. Often thot that if I did it again I would get 2 of the Honda 2000's and connect them. Use the two for A/C and heavy energy use, or one for light stuff like the TV and a few lights.
