I got an adjustible hitch from Putnam for 30 bucks for 6000# version. They had an 8000# version for like 40 or 45.

Towing 19K lbs. on a hitch rated for 5K, a drawbar rated for 12K, with a truck rated for less than 14K. Wow?! It may have worked out for you, but I would consider this a good example of a really bad idea! I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone else.
