HD wheels

I need some heavy duty wheels for my first gen. I do a lot of towing and probably have close to or a tad over 7K on the rear axle. I think the weight bent the stock original wheels. Any suggestions as to what to get for towing? Are aluminum wheels an option?

thanks

I'm running 19.5" commercial 10 lug wheels with adapters that I bought from Southwest wheel. I think the wheels are rated at like #6600 per wheel. The tires seem to last forever!
What is your axle rated for? Is 7k within it's limits?

And yes aluminum wheels are definetly an option.

The problem is I just spent 800 bucks for 16" tires. As for the weight probably not.
