Nuances of Florida statutes:
My FL60 (single axle, sleeper cab) is considered a "straight truck" in Florida (hence the length issue) not a "Tractor Trailer" because I use a gooseneck hitch, which is omitted from Florida statutes. A "truck tractor carries a portion of the weight of the trailer by use of a fifth wheel connection". Since it is not a "fifth wheel connection", it cannot be a "truck tractor" - how idiotic ! Also, you can convert (title) a truck tractor to an RV, but you cannot convert a straight truck to an RV -

I think some of the "branch water" that our legislators drink is tainted.....

Indiana has a 65ft rule unless you are using a 5th wheel too.

For example having a truck with a GVWR of 10,000 and pulling a trailer with a GVWR of 18,000 lbs. but never exceeding a combined trailer and cargo weight of 16,000 lbs.

I'd certainly listen to what these two ^^ have to say...they seem to be the only ones actually doing what you are asking about...and they sure seem to know their business, eh?
