Happy Birthday To Me!!!!

I've been wanting a camping trailer for awhile now. What really kicked me into gear on it was my friend that has the trailer I was using, well, I almost had the $$$ to buy it and then she decides to move out of state and take it with them. And I'm not gonna go back to camping in a tent. So, I was coming back from the local Pick-Ur-Part with some parts for my '66 Olds and I thought "Eh, let's run by the local RV dealer on the way home" Well, $8400 later I'm pretty sure I got me a 5th wheel trailer. It's cheap and very nice! We made a deal, just gotta wait on the bank. It's a 1997 Skyline Layton 242 24' 5th wheel. It's identical in floorplan layout of the one I was using except being a 5th wheel and is in incredible shape for it's age, better than the 2002 I was using in my opinion. I'll have the news of approval on Tuesday the 29th. MY BIRTHDAY!! Happy birthday to me, blah blah blah Here's the pics And the best one of all I think it'll look good hooked up to my truck. Heck, it even has blue stripes to match my truck........kinda, lol! This is the trailer I was using.

Thats the same TT that I used to have. I like the Layton's. I've since bought a slide in and would love to go to a 5er like you got there. Congrat's, sounds like a sweet deal.

Congrats and best of luck with it. I have had some sort of camper for the last 21 years and have loved the time in it with the family and all the kids friends. We still love camping, as much now as we did then, with the exception of the fuel. ,

Enjoy,

Tim

Nice...

Back in April we bought a 2003 Lance 1025 cabover camper. I've only been wanting and researching it since ~2000!

Unfortunately, we've only used it twice. Work and fuel prices keeps getting in the way!

Enjoy!

Tony

We had a Skyline TT a while back and it was a very solid unit so I imagine you won't be disappointed. Congrats.

Looks very nice in the photos. PO was kind to the interior. Hope the bank agreed.
You will need to go over the maintenance list with a fine tooth comb and make sure to keep it in that pristine condition for many years to come.

Happy Birthday
