greenball tires
Greenball is the parent of Towmaster tires. From what I remeber, they WERE good tires. Have not heard much about them as of late. From what I can remeber, seems like I read where they are now Chinese made, too! PCM
I just put a set of 225/75/R15 Greenball's on my enclosed car trailer. I went with 10 ply. They are very nice tires and I have a friend with them on his enclosed trailer also. So far, they seem to be holding up well. Mine replaced original BadYear Marathon's. Discount Tire seems to carry them...not many others from what I found.
i got em on my gooseneck. they make good on thier warranty stuff too. they had recalls on the original set and they sent me new ones and let me keep the originals....greenballs good in my book
I had Towmaster (same as Greenball?) bias ply on my trailer. The trailer was 1 yr old (the tire date codes were 3 yrs old) and they developed cracks all over the side walls, especially were the tread and side wall meet.
I replaced them this year with Denmans. Denman is in Ohio but I think the tires are made in Mexico?

Greenball Tires has 3 lines of ST tires for Rv's. Towmaster, that I have, are made at a Goodyear plant in Canada, stamped 'made in canada' on the tire. Towmaster V, and Transmaster, both made somewhere in Aisa. As I recall, when I talked to Greenball they are not as good a quality as those made by Goodyear. This was in 2005 when I bought 4 new ones after blowing 3 Titan St 225-75/15 E rated tires, all on one trip. Three year old tires with 11K miles on them. Sent a request to Titan for adjustment. They received letter and pictures 23 June 2005 and I never heard a word from them.

I have been selling all types of trailers for about 18 years and recomend all my customers to replace trailer tires with a light truck tire as trailer rated tires have 65 mph limit and in 3 years loose 30% of their tensile strength regardles of milage or wear. I have had 100's of problems with any brand you care to bring up and will not put trailer tires on any of the units I own. Just my two cents worth!!!

I appreciate your thoughts and credentials. This further assures me that I'm doing the right thing by spending $1100 to upgrade to 16" wheels and BF Goodrich Commerical T/A 16's. PCM
