Getting a Prodigy Installed

Not on my truck of course. Who'd want that worthless piece of junk on a truck??

Anyway, I'm taking our church bus in on Saturday to have a Class III hitch, 7 pin connector and brake controller installed so that we can use it to pull our cargo trailer on long trips (currently use the 15 passenger van or someone else's vehicle for this). They gave me a choice between the Prodigy and something else called a Primus or something along those lines. I told them I'd take the Prodigy.

I COULD order a Jordan for it and install it myself, but since we're talking about a big ole' 24 passenger bus pulling an itty bitty single axle cargo trailer I figured the Prodigy would do just fine.

I'll get to be the first one to try it out for a trip we're taking up to the Okie state in a couple of weeks. Should be fun pulling that itty bitty trailer that you can't even see behind that big ole' bus.

Thought maybe you were trying to get fiverbob riled up about how the Jorden is the best & brakesmart isn't worth the $$$ & why buy a prodigy.

I think it will do fine Hoss for what your using it for.

Isn't there a story in the bible about someone who had a Jordan, then went to a Prodigy, then ended up coming back to the Jordan. I think it was called "The parable of the Prodigy Son"

I resemble that remark. And I happen to like my prodigy. It beat the pants of that worthless Redline that I used to have.

According to some of the R.V. Forums the Prodigy is the best. Thats why I bought mine and now I agree with them. Stops all my trailers better than any other brake box I have tried.

I have a prodigy in my Rig as well, and it stops 2 7,000 lb John Deere pulling tractors on my 25+5 Rolls Rite Gooseneck without a sweat. And Smooth as well. I put mine in after using numerous inferior brands and wont ever go back.

Easy kids...I'm just razzing you. Nothing wrong with the Prodigy if you're into inertia brake controllers. If I thought it was worthless I wouldn't be having it installed on our church bus.

I will say this though....anyone who claims the Prodigy is the best has never tried a Jordan. Just as FiverBob.
