Gauges for towing

Im trying to find a 5th wheel trailer to buy so money will be tight . My truck motor and trans are stock . I have a isspro fuel guage and triple pods for more gauges.

For a stock truck what gauges would be most needed next for monitering? Im thinging a exhaust temp gauge(pyro) and a trans temp gauge.

Im only going to get a 24-28' 5'er.

Im wondering what is most critical to moniter with a stock motor and trans. Is the exhaust temp that critical to watch with a stock motor?

Im thinking maybe trans oil temp might be more critical too moniter.

I will eventually get all gauges , but money will be tight for awhile after buying a 5tn wheel and Im planning a hunting trip right after I get the trailer . Ive hauled a Lance camper with the truck a few times with just the fuel press gauge.

Trans temp definately good to watch on any auto when towing...

Pyro (EGT) is a good thing to have because you know you will start the bombing as soon as you get that trailer

Boost is also a good one to have in there as well.

Just my $0.02 and I am sure many will agree here...

GSP, Tranny temp gauge first. A cheap upgrade for me was a 180 stat. The tranny runs 10-15 degrees cooler when towing my TT.

guages

I have all 3 gauges and recently the pyro guage stopped working. Where does it connect so I could check the wiring. The truck came with the guages and I haven't a clue what to look for. Could someone explain how to read the guages and what to do if things don't look right. Thanks
