Fridge keeps popping fuses
Fridge keeps popping fuses
I have a Norcold fridge in my 5er listed in my sig. it keeps popping the 5 amp buss fuse inside the black box that covers the mother board. ive checked all the wires, no bare spots to ground out. i was told by a RV serivce guy that the heating element might be bad. anybody have any other pointers on what i can look at?
it will run on gas fine. there are 2 fuses on the board, i believe a 3 amp, that runs the 12 volt for the propane, and a 5 amp that runs the 110 part. i know there juice there. i tested it with the wifes hair dryer. it doesnt pop every time thought. the last trip we went on it popped as soon as i plugged the RV in. changed the fuse and it worked fine. plugged it in in the driveway today and it popped the first fuse as soon as i plugged it in, the 2 more as soon as i put em in
I had a heating eliment go bad, 5 minutes after turning on the refrid. the ground fault would trip and cut off all assoc. circuitry. Took a little while to figure hat out. But try disconnecting the heating eliment from the board and then plug in trailor and see if fuse blows.
