how to buy a fridge - cheep!

buying a new house, wife wants a new fridge to match appliances already in there,

Maytag 24.8 cu. ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator w/Factory Installed Ice Maker
$2,029.99

This guy says if you slam one door, it blows the other open enough to be a problem:

(When you close the left door fast, it will cause the left (sic - means right?) door to be pushed forward and then remain open) A door alarm would compromise for this.

Home Depot has it for cheaper, as do a few other places, most around ~$1800

any tricks to this? I know there is a place in mid Florida that trains GE Appliance techs, and then sells the appliances for dirt cheap, but I guess I need this by Wednesday or so.

Sears has outlet stores. It's where they send the appliances that have been damaged or discontinued. One might have a gouge on the right side, but if that side's going against a wall, no one will see it. My bro-in-law bought his $800 fridge for half that at one.

Other major stores must have them too.
