Factory Brake Controll Wire Harness ?

I have a 04 with the trailer tow option. I bought a Tekonsha Voyageur and have a question. The controller requires the following ground, power, stoplight, and brake. My factory harness has ground, power, trailer brakes, and brake sense line. The ground and power are self explained. But is the sense line the wire hooked to the stop light switch and the trailer brake wire hooked to the brake wire ? Don't want to fry anything. I would assume the sense line goes to the brake pedal wire. You know what they say though assume makes a *** out of u and me, he he.

Ground and power are self explanatory as is the trailer brake wire (just hook blue to blue). I believe that "stoplight" and "brake sense" are the same thing, so if it were me I'd hook them up and go.

Don't fret.
Just go to your local RV or Camping World and pick up the pigtail that is already wired on both ends for all Tekonsha brand trailer brake controllers. That way you don't have to splice wires and it only takes 10 minutes to install. They run about $10

Yep. The "Stoplight" input to your brake controller has to come from the output wire from your brake light switch on your brake pedal.

The "brake" wire from your brake controller goes back to your trailer brakes.

However, if you have the time and money to go buy the pigtail, I completely agree with buying the pre-made pigtail. Sure makes the installation painless.
