exhaust brake

hello I have a 2004 2500 4x4. The truck has the 48re tranny and I would like to get an exhaust brake for the truck. Most kits say you can't use them with an auto tranny. Please advise me on a exhaust kit. Thanks

You just need a kit that locks your torque converter when engaged. Fairly certain they all have that capability.

I had a PacBrake EB on my '99 2500 with auto tranny. It worked very well.

B&D has a part that will let you put the exhaust brake on.

I just order one for my 04 from Lary at the DTR store and plan on installing it this weekend. He had the best pricing and it arrived in a few days.

Check out the Jacobs Exhaust Brake. I know it will fit the 06-07 5.9 cummins. Not sure about prior years. Jake part # 82209823 Dodge part # 4955192.
About 1200 bucks. Made for Automatics and Manuals.

Google Jacobs Exhaust Brake

Mechanicsville Dodge in VA has a good price.

I really like me Jacobs... It works on all 3rd gen manuals and 06+ autos. Pre 06 requires stand alone tranny control.
