speaking of trailer parts. I have a 25' gooseneck that has 2 7K axles under it.
does anyone know if it would hurt or be possible to put bigger axles under possible duals? I have been checking them out on etrailer.com.
Thanks

That really depends on the construction of the trailer. I've seen some that are so lightly constructed that I wonder if they will even hold their rated weight rate. I've seen others that could easily carry 2x their rated weight (I'm talking about the frame/chassis of the trailer.... NOT it's axles/suspension).
Let me know if you decided to sling new axles under it. I might just have a use for those 7k axles you have.

Ditto that for me too!
I have seen the swap done and it is very easy, but be aware that there are some issues about legality too. If your trailer is rated at 14K and you put 2 10k axles on it and it is capaible of carrying that but the ID tag still says 14K, you may have a problem if DOT stops you and checks your weight.
I have heard through the grapevine that KY's DOT is getting a kick outta stopping personal use trailers and farm trailers as of late
Can't really see much of the trailer in that pic..... the JD and quad are obscuring most of it. I've seen enough of them, though, to surmise that yours is probably constructed of parallel I-beams with C-channel crossmembers. Pretty standard deckover flatbed construction. I'd be willing to be that it's chassis is capable of carring a lot more than 14K. Since your trailer is a deckover, I won't be able to use your axles..... mines is a low-boy (deck between fenders) so my axles are a lot wider than yours.
