Electric Mirrors
Have a 01 Dodge with factory towing mirrors. How much of a job is it to install power mirrors? Not heated or anything else. Can they be installed by us ordinary dummies? THANKS

It is not tough at all, you have to get some 3rd gen mirrors and swap bases with yours, then splice the wires.
Do a search on 2nd gen section and you'll get a lot of results, here's link for wiring diagram:

It may be just as cost effective to buy the ***** from Genos.$359 set power, and heated. But the time you but new mirrors from Dodge you may be in for that much.

You'll have to look and see if the wiring harness is in the door for powering the mirrors and then find the control **** from the dealer or wrecker.
If the wiring harness is there its plug and play, otherwise you'll have to make your own, a wiring diagram(factory manual) would be helpfull to figure out the pinouts in the plugs.
