Has anyone converted their OEM bed to a dump bed for a 2003 or newer truck or does anyone have input/designs for a dump system?

I have looked at some threads on the dump bed, I have also done some research on who sells kits and no one seems to make kits for a 2003 and up because of the cross member and interference with the dump system.

 

I have researched a company that makes dump inserts for trucks as well. I know an 8 ft bed is required. Have you checked Bri-Mar Dump Trailers? If not, they may have what you're looking for.

I have no experience with them, but it might meet your needs.
Also this company sells a dump bed conversion kit. I'm not sure it will work on your 2003. Give them a call.

Thanks for the reply, I think I may have talked to the rep of that company on the phone nice guy. I really don't wan't to go with an insert. We talked about lifting the bed probably about 3 1/2" to allow room for the scissor system to bypass the frame support. I thought about engineering a dual ram system with the cylinders mounted to the outside of the frame rails....
