Drop in gooseneck ball
What gooseneck ball do you use?
I got the Reese ball kit for my 2018 3500 DRW 4x4. To get good bed rail/tailgate clearance, I had to adjust the gooseneck by about 5 inches. Now it is sitting a bit too nose high with 7.5 inches of clearance at the closest point.
I saw that the B&W ball has a taller collar. The Reese is 2 inches from the locking ***** to the top of the collar (bottom of ball neck).
My thought is this: Each adjust hole on the gooseneck trailer is 2.5 inches. If the B&W drop in is 1 inch taller (3 inches to collar top) then I should be able to readjust the gooseneck on the trailer by one hole. Thus giving me 6 inches of clearance and lowering the nose of the trailer.
Anyone have the B&W model? What is the height?
Thanks

So upon doing some research, I found that the B&W is a 2 inch "riser" drop in ball. I found that Reese make a 1 inch "high rise" drop in.
Thought I would share what I found and will leave this posted for others future reference.
